Anime 'of the Month'

'of the Month' is a new segment where I basically spotlight 'Something Awesome'. This will happen on the 1st of each month.

So what is 'Something Awesome'? Well 'Something Awesome' can range from Artists, Music, Movies, Games and anything else that is worth mentioning! If you know 'Something Awesome' that should be mentioned on my Blog, then just share it in the comments!

'Something Awesome' this month is:

Kakumeiki Valvrave (Valrave the Liberator)

Kakumeiki Valvrave is a fantastic Mecha anime. It's actually a very recent anime, in that the second season is currently being aired. After a fantastic first season in which everything was thrown in it, you'd think that the plot for the second season would be weaker... but that's not the case. The second season kicked off fantastically without killing the plot!

What is Kakumeiki Valvrave exactly?
Kakumeiki Valvrave, also known as Valvrave the Liberator, is an anime that took place in the 71st year of true era where 70% of the human race lives in space due to the development of space cities. A young high school student named Haruto Tokishima gets involved in a war between two superpowers, the Dorssia Military Pact Federation and the Atlantic Ring United States (ARUS) when he finds a humanoid weapon called Valvrave. The mecha was hidden in JIOR, a small neutral nation that has prospered economically. With his discovery, Haruto's life is changed.

Another thing of note; are you willing to sacrifice your humanity to pilot a Mech? If the answer is yes, you'll truly love this anime, more-so than anyone who isn't willing. Truth be told, anyone who answers no to that quesion... you are a fool and completely beyond all understanding... cos seriously, who wouldn't sacrifice their humanity to PILOT A MECH!! I'd sacrifice that and so much more, even selling my soul to the devil in order to pilot a Mech!

Anyway, the Mechs in Kakumeiki Valrave are just so awesome!! I'll just leave you some pics ay?

The Mechs alone are fantastic, but the characters in this anime are quite lovable as well. Well less loveable and more like, you grow an attachment to some of these characters. Each of this characters is well developed IMHO, they're very thought out with unique backgrounds that only add to the story.

The only character I absolutely hate, is the main character, Haruto. The only reason for this hatred, is that he is somewhat of a useless Mech pilot and I feel he somewhat regrets his decision to sacrifice his humanity.

All in all, this anime is simply super awesome! I highly suggest you add it to your watch list! And don't miss/skip an episode. You actually lose vital plot information if you do so!! Watch everything!!
